Although not appearing with his team on the winner’s rostrum IVR team member Jack Morgan, of Midhurst Engineering, was unanimously voted ‘Best Individual’ in the Vision Help for Heroes Challenge, held last week at Weston-super-Mare.

After taking part with his team in the heats he was then drafted in to make up the numbers in other teams. He went on to take part in the final replacing Paul Welsh, from KFS, who had sustained a shoulder injury earlier in the day while taking part in the ‘Individual Challenge’.

In total Jack completed the team course four times then finished the day by winning the ‘Individual Challenge’ in 2.06 minutes, a course which included a river crossing andcrawling through an underground tunnel. Jack, son of Guy Morgan, said: ‘I train regularly but still found the course challenging, even though the IVR team didn’t makethe final I still enjoyed the day.’

Jack was watched by his proud grandparents IVR Fellow Brian Morgan, and his wife Susie.
