Nominees for Jack Ovenden Award 2012 announced

The Institute of Vehicle Recovery has announced the nominees for the 2012 Jack

Ovenden Award, which this year will be sponsored by Recovery Industry

Engineering Standards (RIES).

The first nominee is Sam Hall. Sam joined the Mansfield Group from ISIS Rescue in

2011 and was nominated by Peter Martin of Peter Martin Support Services.

The second nominee is Neil Chilvers of Boarhunt. Neil has been involved in

recovery for six years and was nominated by Matt Ayling of Midhurst Engineering.

Both nominees will now be invited to attend a panel interview prior to the IVR AGM

on Saturday 10 March. They will be asked a series of questions and graded by a

panel made up of members of the Rescue Recovery Trainers Association (RRTA).

The Jack Ovenden Award will then be presented to this year's winner by Nick

Ovenden, of Ashford Recovery, at the IVR Gala Dinner.

To even be nominated for this prestigious 'Outstanding Student of the Year' award is

a huge honour so many congratulations go to this year's candidates.
